A Beauty Recipe for Success 2014
This December 18, 2013 Changing
Oasis, Inc. will host their 2nd Annual Toy Drive and celebrate the opening of
our New Office space. Each year we reflect on the challenges we’ve faced and
the milestones we’ve accomplished and we cannot be remiss in our gratitude to
Rita Ann Woodley. Rita was one of our biggest supporters financially and one
who always encouraged us to continue to push forward. Rita was an inspiration
to us, a fighter who battled cancer for more than 10 years. Rita Ann Woodley,
is the mother of Audrey L. Woodley, who
is the President and Founder of Changing
Oasis, Inc. Audrey believes that she wouldn’t be who she is or be doing what
she is doing without the core values her mother instilled in her at an early
age. Audrey says she remains excited about all the accomplishments made by
Changing Oasis, Inc. and rejoices at all of her own personal accomplishments
despite minor setbacks, trials and tribulations. This year Audrey decided to
walk out on faith and so she connected professionally with Kathy McClure of
McClure Publishing. This alliance gave Audrey the opportunity to be featured on
The Kathy McClure Show and one of their magazine’s front cover(s). Audrey was
also a featured contributing author of several articles published in the
magazine. Audrey has cultivated many professional alliances with other
organizations whose visions are in line with that of Changing Oasis, Inc. These
organizations include, but are not limited to: ColorComm with founder Lauren
Wesley Wilson and Toni Coleman-Brown founder of Network for Women in Business; with
whom Audrey co-authored an International Best Seller book entitled, Network is
Your Net Worth, available on Amazon. Audrey was very successful at increasing
her personal brand awareness by creating a buzz around her 5-Day Chicagoland
Book Tour which was a success and a sellout. The writing project with Toni was
a stepping stone to Audrey landing several speaking engagements which helped
her to leverage her personal brand and foundation; both continues to be instrumental in helping to build her coaching business. Audrey has
encountered many people who have been inspired by her accomplishment of
becoming a published co-author. They have expressed to her that she has
inspired them to hope, to dream more and take action. Audrey anticipates that one
of her next projects will be a joint venture book anthology of personal
testimonies given by women who have overcome obstacles to their health,
business, marriage, finances, etc. Another project that Audrey is currently focusing
on and started implementing this month and will continue through all of next
year is a vendor alliance group where entrepreneurs and small business owners
showcase their products and services at mini expos(ure). The project is called “Embracing
My Beauty” Empowerment Expos and will also include training seminars, goal
planning meetings, networking events, empowerment coaching and professional
business building training. We will also focus on the need for small businesses
to be educated on using a social media platform to expand and build their
customer base. She has developed a curriculum that includes training on how to
increase your business and personal SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Changing
Oasis, Inc. maintains a professional website and gives its members the
opportunity to market and promote their business through logo placement and
approved marketing ads on the website. Audrey says that there have been so many
women that have inspired her and helped her to envision a project like “Embrace
My Beauty” to help add value and give credibility to small business owners and
entrepreneurs by depositing in them the knowledge that they need to succeed.
Audrey believes that a good recipe for success has to have the right
ingredients. Audrey believes that in order to create the business and live the
life you want, you will need key ingredients and the directions on how to get
there. So, Audrey welcomes constructive criticism that helps her to be more
solution focused with the right instructions for achieving a successful
outcome. Some of our biggest challenges come in the form of fear and doubt which
we can overcome with proper goal setting and planning. Changing Oasis, Inc.
empowers the small business owner and entrepreneur with the skills necessary to
build on a strong foundation of planning development, setting goals,
implementing action setting personal accountability through positive
motivation, all of which we believe is a winning recipe for success. To learn
